As a doctoral researcher at the University of New England, I focus on block ciphers and mathematical models. Before this, I obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours and a Master of Science degree from the University of Hertfordshire, with a concentration in Computer Science and Cybersecurity. Over 23 years, I have held several national and international software development and security positions in various organizations, such as the Information Security and Compliance Manager at the Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet), where I was extensively involved in Australian Security Standards and International Cryptography Standards, contributing to banking and payments systems. Currently, I am working on cybersecurity initiatives with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Additionally, I am a member of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) and the Australian Information Security Association (AISA). I also serve as a local and international industry specialist on the Technical Advisory Board of the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council and various industry committees and working groups.
